Jay Langworthy, AKA DJ Boomshot, started BIS in the 90’s after having hosted the “Reggae Boomshot” event in Oregon. “Boomshot” in Jamaican slang means “number one song”. This led to Jay picking up the moniker DJ Boomshot, or simply Boomshot to his friends.

With an upbringing surrounded by professional musicians, it was natural for Jay to be exposed to a breadth of genres and artists. This rich musical upbringing provides Jay with the depth of knowledge and appreciation for musical styles leading to his unparalleled ability to create the right ambiance at the right time. Coupled with his obsession with his profession (spending countless hours mixing and blending), Jay has built an impressive resume having performed at top nightclubs and performing with leading touring musicians throughout the country.
